About the role
This position is responsible to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all municipal parks, trails, and open space, including the Municipal Activity Recreation Complex (MARC). This is a term position for the 2025 season.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs grounds and facility maintenance including
- Grass cutting;
- brush clearing;
- tree trimming, cutting and removal;
- sport field maintenance;
- parking lot and trail surface repair;
- garbage removal; and
- cleaning and general building repairs the MODL Recreation facilities.
- Completes checks and inspections of MODL Recreation properties and facilities.
- Provides good customer service to users of the recreation facilities.
- Records and reports any concerns, complaints, and problems to Park Supervisor.
- Conducts minor machine/vehicle repairs as required.
- Keeps up to date with required training/certifications.
- Maintains a daily log of work completed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- A minimum of 6 months - 1 year of related experience in maintenance role
- Possess good construction and mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledgeable in the operation of power tools, tractor, and landscaping equipment
- Possess a valid driver license and maintain good driving record.
- Certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR and WHMIS or willing to obtain.

- Good customer service skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Exposure to elements and weather conditions
- physical effort including lifting to 25kg
- Extensive periods of continual movement/lifting
- work with tools and machinery
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Term (approximately June to December 1,2025)
- Based on 40-hour work week
- Salary: $22.56/hr to $29.36/hr (Group A)
